Governor Beebe announces 14 appointments

Governor Mike Beebe today announced the following judicial appointments:

Julie Greathouse, Little Rock, as Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas for the case styled 09-1070 Baptist Health v. Bruce Murphy, M.D. Replaces Justice Elana Wills, who has disqualified herself from the case.

Clark Mason, Little Rock, as Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas for the case styled 09-1070 Baptist Health v. Bruce Murphy, M.D. Replaces Justice Donald Corbin, who has disqualified himself from the case.

Jeff Priebe, North Little Rock, as Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas for the case styled CR08-1481 Jessie Lloyd Misskelley, Jr., v. State of Arkansas, CR08-1493 Damien Wayne Echols v. State of Arkansas and CR09-60 Charles Jason Baldwin v. State of Arkansas. Replaces Justice Elana Wills, who has disqualified herself from the case.

Governor Beebe also announced the following appointments to boards and commissions:

Leo Baltz, Pocahontas, to the Black River Technical College Board of Directors. Appointment expires July 1, 2011. Replaces Frank Bigger.

Mike Carter, Fort Smith, reappointed to the Arkansas-Oklahoma River Compact Commission. Appointment expires February 1, 2014.

Ruthie Clemmons, Pine Bluff, reappointed to the Arkansas Lifeline Individual Verification Effort Corporation. Appointment expires March 1, 2013.

Douglas Cox, Pocahontas, to the Black River Technical College Board of Directors. Appointment expires July 1, 2014. Replaces Scott Trammel.

Danny Finch, Jonesboro, reappointed to the State Plant Board. Appointment expires March 17, 2012.

Larry Jayroe, Forrest City, reappointed to the State Plant Board. Appointment expires March 17, 2012.

Joanna Kyle, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Service Commission. Appointment expires January 14, 2013.

Marilyn Matthews, Dumas, reappointed to the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board. Appointment expires January 14, 2014.

Denise Morbit, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Lifeline Individual Verification Effort Corporation. Appointment expires March 1, 2013.

Mayor Charles "Stephen" Northcutt, Malvern, to the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System Board of Trustees. Appointment expires March 9, 2016. Replaces Don Zimmerman.

Andrea Roaf-Little, Pine Bluff, to the State Board of Examiners of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. Appointment expires September 14, 2011. Replaces Phillip Prewett.
