Tea for one
I got an invite to our local TEA Party here in Texarkana, and after seeing this on the Internet and getting a follow-up phone call, I decided to do the neighborly thing and I walked right up in the middle of it. Got a few backslaps and handshakes for going, and only one pointed question about a vote I recently made: on the animal cruelty legislation that passed. Congressman Ralph Hall (R-Texas) was the main speaker, and the Gazette put the crowd at 500. Here's a pic of the Texarkana event, taken from my office window:

According to AR DEM GAZ it sounds like Rep. Smith and Rep. Lowery didn't have a pleasant experience at the one in El Dorado. Just wondering what the estimated total was nation-wide and what percentage of the voting population that would be. I would imagine pretty low
Judging from what I saw on television across the nation the turn out was very good. Politicians from both parties need to take notice.....enough is enough where taxes are concerned. We need term limits for all those in Washington.
They are guessing about 800,000 people nationwide attended a Tea Party. That's amazing. And it's only the beginning I would imagine. This truly is a grassroots movement.
