Hochstetter resigning from the PSC
Sandra Hochstetter announced this morning that she'll resign from the Arkansas Public Service Commission to take a job with the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation this fall. Here's the Associated Press article.
The Arkansas Blog has a post on Hochstetter's proposal to continue hearing the Swepco Hempstead Co. power plant case pending before the PSC. Update: She's recused, and retired Arkansas Supreme Court Justice David Newbern will stand in for Thursday's final hearing.

I believe she an attorney too and I wonder if there is a professional ethical problem for an attorney acting as quasi-judical officer (PSC Commissioner) in hearing cases where they would a future financial interst??
