This week at the Capitol
On Wednesday, the Review Committee of Legislative Council will meet in Rm 171 at 1:30 p.m. to consider items held over from previous review. One of the requests to be reviewed includes a 10 year tower site lease in Independence County between the ASP and Deltic Timber worth about $65,000 -- see p. 85 of the link.
Audit will meet on Friday (and its three standing committees on Thursday). Of interest on Friday's agenda is the investigative report regarding travel reimbursements within the Arkansas State Board of Architects between 1995 and 2006. Here's a previous blog entry on that $230,000 shortage, which has led to the resignation of two agency employees.

I recently read an article that examined Deltic Timber, which gave much more fascinating logisitics besides its adjustments. It was called This Timber Stock is poised for big gains! It was worth checking out and taking notes on as a possible investor...you never know!?!
